Lakeland Dental Clinic is a general dental clinic situated in heart of Vermilion, Alberta. The clinic has been in existence for more than 25 years. We provide services to meet the needs of everyone in your family.
Lakeland Dental Clinic is owned and operated by
Dr. Satvik Patel. Dr. Patel started his career in dentistry in 2009. In January of 2020 he and his family moved to Vermilion from Red Deer to begin his solo practice. He has continued providing outstanding dental service throughout the pandemic and is always welcoming new patients.
We welcome referrals from other dental providers and current patients.
Lakeland Dental Clinic is happy to provide the convenient option of direct billing, to most insurance companies, to save you from paying the total cost upfront. We encourage you to become familiar with your dental insurance policy as our relationship, as dental care providers, is with you.
If your insurance company is one that we are not able to direct bill, we will submit your claim electronically as a courtesy to you, however you will be responsible for full payment at the time of your appointment and your insurance company will reimburse you, typically within 3-5 business days.
Lakeland Dental Clinic has a 24 hour Cancellation Policy, so please remember to let us know if you need to alter your appointment to avoid a cancellation fee.

Dental Hygiene
A preventive program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the natural dentition and supporting structures by preventing the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions. Preventing dental disease starts at home with good oral hygiene and a balanced diet. It is continued in the dental office by the efforts of your dentist and dental hygienist to promote, restore, and maintain your oral health.
Dental Surgery, Restorative & Endodontic Treatment
We provide fillings, crowns, root canals and most other treatment required to get you that happy
and healthy smile that you deserve.
Dental surgery is any of a number of minor dental surgical procedures that involve surgically removing or modifying dentition includes taking out wisdom teeth.
Emergency Dentistry
Sometimes teeth become fractured by trauma, grinding or biting on hard objects. In other cases, fillings, crowns and other restorative devices can be damaged or fall out of the mouth completely. If there is severe pain, it is essential to make an appointment with us as quickly as possible.
Orthodontic Treatment
We offer both traditional wire braces as well as Invisalign® treatment. Invisalign is an orthodontic solution that gradually aligns your teeth using clear, removable aligners.
Incorporating orthodontic technology with 3D imaging software, Invisalign® allows us to offer customized aligners.
It's suitable for adults and is really popular among teens with active lifestyles who want the flexibility that Invisalign® offers.
Sedation Services
Sedation dentistry is often mistakenly thought to induce sleep. In fact, most sedatives allow the patient to stay awake during the procedure. Sleepiness is a side effect of some medications, but nitrous oxide works to calm anxiety throughout the dental visit. Perfect for kids
and anxious adults.
Digital Scanning
Say Goodbye to goopy impressions! Our office offers 3D scanning with the Itero scanner: the latest technology in enhancing treatment predictability and accuracy. Scanning aids the dentist in visualizing restorative treatments like crowns, bridges and veneers; preventative treatments like night guards, as well as finding orthodontic solutions. It does not use radiation, which makes it safe to use for all patients.
When receiving a scan, the assistant moves the wand comfortably over your teeth to capture, in real-time, digital images of your teeth and gums. Within seconds
the dental team can show you your complete
simulated 3D digital image.
Teeth Whitening
Unleash your brightness with our in-office Zoom Whitening treatment. Tooth discoloration may result from drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine; or from smoking. The aging process also can stain and darken your teeth. The Zoom
in-office tooth whitening procedure uses the Zoom
Advanced Power Chairside Lamp – said to accelerate the bleaching process – to activate the 25 percent hydrogen peroxide whitening. As the hydrogen peroxide is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentin to bleach the stained substances, leaving the structure of the tooth unchanged. In the one hour treatment the Zoom whitening can provide you with 4 to 8 shades whiter teeth.
OUR DENTIST
Dr. Patel is the owner and primary dentist at Lakeland Dental Clinic since February of 2020 and has a total of 17 years experience in dentistry. Dr. Patel was born in India. He completed his Dental Degree from one of most reputable Universities in India. He practiced in public and private dental settings before moving to Canada in 2014. He finished his Advanced Diploma in Dental Hygiene with Honors in Thunder Bay before moving to Edmonton. He worked as an Associate Dentist in Red Deer and Stettler before moving to Vermilion. He loves learning new treatment modalities and believes in keeping UpToDate knowledge in dentistry by completing yearly Dental Education Courses. He loves spending time with his wife, Mili, and daughter, Myra. Dr. Patel likes to be active by playing sports such as badminton, squash, golf, pickleball etc. He also enjoys going for hikes and traveling to different places. Dr. Patel provides skilled and compassionate care to meet his patients’ dental care needs.
OUR STAFF
Taryn Lyster
Taryn graduated with a diploma in Dental Hygiene from the University of Alberta in 2013. She began working in Edmonton right after graduation and remained there until joining our office in March of 2024. Taryn is originally from High River. She loved growing up in the small town in southern Alberta with the beautiful prairie sunsets and close proximity to the mountains. She loves to travel, camp and read in her spare time.
Kristy Reiniger
Kristy is our Dental Administrator at Lakeland Dental Clinic. She started at the office in February of 2021. Kristy grew up in Vermilion and is married with five sons. Much of her spare time is spent in a gym where she enjoys coaching her sons’ volleyball teams or cheering them on from the sidelines.
Lori King
Lori began her dental career in September of 1992. While initially hired at Lakeland Dental Clinic as a Chair-Side Assistant, she achieved her certification as a Registered Dental Assistant in 1996. In 1998 she completed her Orthodontic training through the University of Alberta. Lori is married with three children and originally is from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. A fun fact about Lori is she absolutely LOVES Mickey Mouse and everything with Disney.
Kate Gilberg
Kate is our Dental Receptionist at Lakeland Dental Clinic. She is a new member of the team, covering a maternity leave in March of 2024. Kate is married with four beautiful children and originally from Nova Scotia. She enjoys curling, fishing and spending time with her family.
Emily Hamilton
Emily is a Chair-side Dental Assistant and started with Lakeland Dental Clinic in August of 2020. She is currently studying to achieve her Dental Assistant Diploma. Emily grew up in Wainwright, Alberta and moved to Vermilion shortly before she got married. She has 3 cats who are her babies. Her hobbies include pottery, sewing and knitting. Emily loves helping patients achieve their perfect smile!

The service and care I have received from Dr. Patel and his efficient and friendly staff in the past 1.5 years has been exemplary! He has been able to take care of my needs as far as fillings, composite veneers, referral to a specialist when needed for a root canal repair and to a denturist when needed. He and all his staff really listen to you and hear you. They explained everything to me and answered my every question, and I had many. I highly recommend this local dentist! No need to go any further than Vermilion.
